Community of Strength and Strength for the community

SMART WARRIORS,Inc
Smart Warriors, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth, families, and communities through education, fitness, and safety. Our programs combine academic tutoring, Tae Kwon Do training, and community empowerment workshops to foster educational growth, physical well-being, and life skills for children, teens, and adults. From after-school tutoring and martial arts to women’s self-defense (RAD) and adaptive training for the blind and those with disabilities, we are committed to reducing educational disparities, promoting health and resilience, and equipping individuals with the tools to thrive in school, in life, and in their communities.
We have three distinct programs that we would like to introduce.
Rape Aggressor Defense (RAD) Programs, Mindful Hands: Self-defense for the blind and the Smart Young Warrior Program,

Self-Defense for Women and Girls
(RAD – Rape Aggressor Defense Program)

What it does:
This program provides women and girls ages 12 and up with hands-on self-defense training using the nationally recognized RAD curriculum. Each course equips participants with practical skills to resist and escape aggressors.
Goals & Intent:
-
Train at least 100 women per year.
-
Empower women and girls to protect themselves with confidence.
-
Promote awareness of personal safety in the community.
How donations help:
A $75 contribution covers training for one participant, with $10 used for a personal training manual. Donations allow us to provide discounted or free training to women in underserved areas, while also supporting instructor costs and program expansion.

Mindful Hands
Self-Defense Training for the Blind and Those with Disabilities

What it does:
The Mindful Hands program provides specialized self-defense training for individuals who are blind, have low vision, or live with physical disabilities. Veterans and patients from local centers for the blind are among the priority participants. Classes are tailored in 2, 4, or 6-hour formats to meet a range of abilities.

Goals & Intent:
-
Train 100 participants over 2 years.
-
Offer empowerment and confidence through adaptive self-defense techniques.
-
Ensure inclusion by providing safety education for often-overlooked communities.

How donations help:
Donations cover instructor pay, travel costs (mileage and per diem), and adaptive training materials. Contributions ensure that individuals with disabilities receive free or reduced-cost training in safe, supportive environments.

Public Benefit
Through these programs, Smart Warriors, Inc. actively reduces educational disparities, promotes physical and mental health, and strengthens community resilience. Every donation directly impacts the lives of children, teens, women, and individuals with disabilities by funding opportunities they would not otherwise have.

Smart Warrior's Afterschool Program

What it does:
The Warrior Students Program provides after-school support for students ages 12–18, blending academic tutoring with Tae Kwon Do physical training. Up to 50 students participate in this eight-month program, rotating between tutoring in core subjects—math, science, reading, and writing—and martial arts instruction. This unique balance fosters both academic success and personal discipline, preparing students to excel in school and in life.

Goals & Intent:
-
Reduce educational disparities through individualized tutoring, homework help, and test preparation.
-
Promote physical health, self-defense skills, and mental well-being through structured Tae Kwon Do training.
-
Build teamwork, confidence, and focus by combining academics with physical activity.

How donations help:
At a cost of $120 per student, per month, donations ensure that students have access to tutoring supplies, educational resources, uniforms, and qualified tutors and instructors. Contributions also provide scholarships for families who cannot afford the program, allowing every student the chance to thrive academically and physically.

Community Empowerment and Development

What it does:
This program equips youth and adults with life skills and leadership training through workshops, mentorship, and civic engagement opportunities. By partnering with local organizations, Smart Warriors provides training that strengthens both individuals and communities.

Goals & Intent:
-
Build community resilience and prepare individuals with practical, real-world skills.
-
Provide workshops on Sex Trafficking Safety, Stop the Bleed, First Aid for Kids, HAM for Kids, and STEM education.
-
Encourage participants to take active roles in community service and leadership.

How donations help:
Your support funds workshop materials, skilled guest instructors, and collaborative community projects. Donations make it possible to provide free or low-cost empowerment programs that reach underserved neighborhoods and foster long-term community growth.
